Het Leukste Festival - a day of appreciation for Daan professionals
Daan is a secondment agency active in healthcare, education and government. With excellence as our core mission, we like to put our professionals in the spotlight. This year we wanted to do more than just say thank you: we organized the first edition of Het Leukste Festival - a festive day full of experiences for our professionals and clients.
As a graphic designer within the in-house marketing team, I was responsible for the complete visual branding of the festival.

Challenge
For Het Leukste Festival, I was commissioned to design a corporate identity that appealed to both young and old. The goal was to create a visually appealing experience for Daan professionals and clients, with room for meeting, relaxation and family - not a formal conference, but a festive day.
The corporate identity had to:
-
Derive from the existing Daan branding and meet the brand values.
-
Applied to various assets: online promotion, print decoration, floor plan, festival page and invitation with user-friendly registration option.
My approach
For Het Leukste Festival's visual style, I took inspiration from existing festivals and their promotion. The corporate identity is composed of cheerful vector illustrations that evoke the feeling of a sunny, carefree day.
The logo is derived from the Daan logo and includes recognizable elements such as the hot air balloon - a subtle reference to the Daan identity. The deep blue color forms the base; supporting colors bring the illustrations to life. These visual elements were applied in a consistent yet varied way across all expressions: from online promos and floor plan to print decoration and invitations.
On the day itself, everything came together in one recognizable and inviting whole. The festival was a great success, with over 600 attendees and a bright sunny day.

Social media
Several social media posts to promote the festival. As social media manager, I was responsible for creating the content and scheduling the posts. The festival was promoted on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.

Visuals on screen
The indoor part consisted of a stage where there were various speakers and performances. For decoration, I created a number of visuals for the screens. Below is a compilation.
