Yonder

This project was carried out during my time at Slidebuilder B.V.

For Yonder I developed a template set and slide library. My role as a Visual Designer at Slidebuilder B.V. involves creating user-friendly templates for various clients. Users have access to the template set and slide library, allowing them to independently create presentations while maintaining the brand style.

In addition to developing the slides, I play a major role in the project: I handle all communication with the client and am responsible for the full planning. I execute the project entirely independently, with my colleague (Customer Success Manager) handling the final delivery.

Assignment

Yonder recently launched a new brand identity. To present the brand as a whole, there was also a need for a professional and consistent PowerPoint template. Our task was to translate the new visual identity into a template set and slide library.

During a meeting with the content manager, graphic designer, and communications officer, it became clear that some slides needed to contain fixed content, while others had to remain editable and flexible. Additionally, all slides needed to be user-friendly, allowing users to independently customize and format their presentations as they see fit.

My approach

First, we collaboratively selected which slides needed to contain fixed content. In the meantime, I created design proposals and worked closely with the graphic designer to refine the visuals. Since the brand identity was still new, we spent a lot of time researching and experimenting with the best ways to apply the style.

The visual identity is playful and colorful, but because presentations often contain a lot of information, I made deliberate decisions about where illustrations, animations, and other visual elements would be most effective.

The design

My goal was to create a consistent and visually appealing template set. In addition to ensuring user-friendliness, I aimed to strike the right balance between an impressive design and a practical, accessible template.

I achieved this by subtly incorporating the brand identity into each slide and strategically adding animations. One of Yonder’s most recognizable design elements is the use of multi-colored stripes, symbolizing the individual steps taken in the educational journey. I integrated this element into every slide and enhanced it with animations to increase visual impact.

The result

The end result is a playful yet user-friendly slide library and template set. Every slide reflects Yonder’s identity, and thanks to the overall consistency, the presentation feels complete and cohesive.

  • The opening slides include transition effects to enhance impact.

  • Some slides contain fixed content, allowing users to simply insert their own text, while others offer full flexibility to customize the layout to their needs.

Yonder was very pleased with the result. The collaboration ran smoothly thanks to short communication lines and close coordination on the design. Despite a tight deadline, we completed the project efficiently and successfully.
