An orange christmas
Daan celebrates Christmas every year with a unique theme: the Daan Christmas Experience. As a graphic designer, I was given the challenge of providing the concept, style and design.

Challenge
The goal was to create a Christmas experience that was unique from previous years, yet fully aligned with Daan's brand values.
This assignment included:

Developing a recognizable and surprising Christmas corporate identity.

Designing a Christmas package that visually and intrinsically supports the theme ‘an orange Christmas’.

Selecting and designing suitable products.

And monitoring quality through close contact with suppliers.

The result had to be a coherent, qualitative Christmas experience that surprised and connected employees and professionals (seconded).
My approach
For Daan's 2023 Christmas experience, I wanted to break the traditional green theme with a fresh, recognizable twist: an all-orange Christmas to match the Daan corporate identity. Taking inspiration from previous Christmas campaigns, Pinterest and Christmas patterns, I translated this into a warm, eye-catching style for the Christmas package, social media, mailings and the issue event. The design combines traditional Christmas motifs with playful Daan elements such as dotted lines, the bauble logo and hearts. The products - including a luxury backpack with eye-catching orange details and a checkered picnic blanket with the tagline “You are the most fun” - tie in seamlessly with the theme "Going out together. Working closely with the marketing team, event manager and suppliers, I kept the designs functional and affordable, with attention to quality and a consistent look that reinforces Daan's brand values and provides our professionals with an original Christmas experience.
